Day #14 - 10/29/97 - 6:34PM

I had a great day! Lots of little, but really nice things happened to me. While at the bank (depositing my first serverance check), the bank manager asked for my autograph! Imagine that? I've been out of the market for over two years and the woman STILL remembered me from when I did mornings at Q94.

Anyway, I decided I would pursue a little part-time or fill-in work in Richmond, while I wait for the right thing to come along. Why not? It's extra money...So, I called up a couple of PDs here in town. Everyone's been pretty decent. One said to me, "Gee....A guy with Major Market experience and local name recognition wants to do some part-time work with the holidays coming up. Mmmmm.....Of course I wanna' to talk to you. Come see me Monday at 2pm."

So, If things go well, I might be back in the saddle in a couple of weeks. Of course, it won't exactly be like doing mornings.....but it's working!

Oh yeah......a fella' who I spoke to a year ago (The C.O.O. of a TV/Radio chain based in Little Rock) told me then, "If you ever need a job...call me." So, I did. Well, he immediately asked me to Fed Ex a tape of our show...and he had his secretary arrange a flight for me out there next week. Just proves: you NEVER know who's listening! Apparently, he heard me the FIRST time I worked at Q94 in Richmond and always remembered my work.
