Day #4 - 10/19/97

Today I'm bringing some furniture over to Jay's place where he's going to store it for me and then I'm heading south, two hours, to Cambridge, Ohio where I'll stop and spend the rest of the day with my in-laws. Tomorrow I'll drive the other six hours - passing thru Charleston, West Virginia where I'll make a sharp left and head straight into Virginia.

I always like going through Charleston because they have an old city building that's got a gold-plated dome. Ah - your taxes at work! Makes you wonder what dim-witted elected official thought THAT was a good idea! I mean, half the population is living in trailer homes and they've got a building with enough precious metal on top of it to make half-a-million wedding rings!

I won't have a diary entry tomorrow because it's basically a travel day. I'll be on the road at least 6 or more hours, depending on weather and road conditions. I'll catch you up on things Tuesday.......
